50 patients discharged, 61 new COVID cases found in Pune City, tally reaches 1878

Pune, May 4, 2020: In the last five days about 250 patients have been discharged after being cured of Coronavirus COVID19 in areas under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Today 50 patients were discharged.

According to the PMC health department, 61 new patients were reported today, six died while undergoing treatment. Out of total 1878 patients, 107 have died while 483 have been cured till now. There are still 1288 active patients including 76 whose condition is critical. 20 of them are on ventilators. So far, samples of throat fluid of 10,859 citizens have been tested in Pune city. Of them, 9,116 have been reported negative and so far 1,878 have detected with Coronavirus.

A 63-year-old man from Padmavati was admitted to the hospital on Sunday with corona. He died today during treatment. This person had pneumonia and other illnesses. Another 61-year-old man from Yerwada died after being diagnosed with corona. He suffered from pneumonia, hypertension and heart disease. A 50-year-old woman from Yerwada area was undergoing treatment at the hospital for corona. Meanwhile, she also had heart disease and hypertension. A 65-year-old woman from Lohianagar has also died.
