41 Aspirants From Pune’s Eight Constituencies So Far; NCP-SP Gears Up for Upcoming Elections

Pune, 14th September 2024: A total of 41 candidates from eight constituencies in Pune have expressed their intent to contest the upcoming assembly elections under the banner of the Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP). The interview schedule for these aspirants will be announced shortly.

With the general elections for the Legislative Assembly likely to take place in October-November, the party began accepting applications from interested candidates on 28th August. This initiative was launched by NCP founder and former Union Minister Sharad Pawar, along with State president Jayant Patil, recognizing the party’s robust organizational structure and the number of aspirants in each constituency.

Although the initial deadline for applications was set for 4th September, it was extended until 10th September. According to Pune city president Prashant Jagtap, 41 applications have been received from across the city’s eight constituencies. The applicants will undergo interviews, following which their names will be forwarded to the State President for final consideration.
