Since the domestic flights started on 25th May, 3810 passengers have travelled through Pune airport on Monday and Tuesday.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) had planned 31 daily flights from Pune to various parts of the country. However, the state government asked to reduce the number of flights and also the numbers of passengers on some routes are less than required. Accordingly, there will be 16 flights on Wednesday.

On the first day, ie 25th May 1657 passengers had availed the service on Monday, 672 passengers arrived by nine flights and 985 passengers departed by eight flights. On Tuesday, 719 passengers arrived on 14 flights at the Pune airport in Lohegaon airport. As many as 1434 passengers departed in 14 flights. Thus, a total of 2153 passengers travelled yesterday. Looking at the statistics of traffic in the last two days, there is more response from Pune to go to other states.

Meanwhile, many people are finding it difficult to reach the airport for boarding the flight, while many don’t have vehicles to travel home from the airport. For such passengers, Pune police have facilitated the travel through CityGlide Auto under ‘Dial a rickshaw’ initiative. There are 350 fully sanitized autorickshaw. You don’t need a separate pass from police for airport travel as your boarding pass will be considered by police for the travel.
