35 Bus Depots In Maharashtra Closed; Protest By Action Committee

Pune, 3rd September 2024: Due to the protest called by the Action Committee of as many as 11 labor unions, it is informed that as of 8 am Today (3 September), 35 out of 251 bus depots are completely closed. The rest of the bus depots are partially or fully operational.

According to the received information, Kalyan, and Vitthalwadi depots in the Thane Division are completely closed while depots in the Mumbai division are running smoothly.

The depots in the Vidarbha area are reported to be operational even in the said protest. However, most of the depots in the Latur and Nanded divisions of Marathwada are informed to be closed.

In western Maharashtra, the depots in Kolhapur and Solapur divisions are running smoothly. Meanwhile, depots at Shivajinagar, Vallabhnagar, Bhor, Saswad, Baramati, and Talegaon in the Pune division are completely closed along with depots at Miraj, Jath, and Palus in Sangli district. It is reported that depots in Karad, Vaduj, and Mahabaleshwar in Satara district are completely closed.

In the Khandesh division, bus depots in Nashik, Pimpalgaon, Peth in the Nashik district, and Bhusawal, and Chalisgaon bus depots in the Jalgaon district are completely closed. Meanwhile, other depots are operational.
