30 passengers injured in ST bus accident on Expressway
Pune – A total of 30 persons were injured when the State Transport (ST) bus they were travelling in met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
The incident took place around 10.15 am on Tuesday near Kivle village.
The Hirkani bus was traveling from Borivali to Satara. The driver lost control on the wheels and rammed into the barrier and fell into a 20 feet deep ditch. Some passengers came out through the emergency exit.
Highway police officials said that five passengers have sustained serious injuries while 25 others have got minor injuries.
All of them are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
