266 New COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 25 deaths

Pune, June 2, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 169 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 266 new patients were detected while 25 patients died.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 6795 out of which 4119 have been cured while 345 have died. There are still 2331 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 165 critical patients out of which 35 are on ventilator support. Today swab samples of 1543 people were collected for COVID tests. Till now 52,460 people have been tested in Pune city.

Among the 25 deaths, 12 were women and 13 man, all of them were aged between 40 to 86 years. They were residents of Janata vasahat , Pmc Colony Janwadi, Wadarwadi modle colony, Mangalwar peth, Laxmi nagar Hadapsar, Rashtapeth , Shivajinagar pune, Gultekdi, Ganesh peth, Yashwant Nagar Yerwada, Ramtekdi Hadapsar, Health Camp chawl no.4 Pune, Gandhinagar in Yerwada, Ramtekdi Pune, Shobha Garden Kondwa, Ramtekdi Hadapsar Pune, Golandhar chowk wanwadi, Anand Nagar Ramtekdi Hadapsar,Tadiwala Road, Modikhana Camp, Siddaharth Nagar Yerwada, Kakde wasti Kondwa, MPB Chamber Hadapsar,Tupe nagar Daund..

Across Maharashtra, there were 2287  new COVID19 cases taking the total number of cases to 72,300, Also, 103 people died while 1225  got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 38493, active cases. The total death toll stands at 2465, while 31,333 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 198,706 across the country. Out of this, 95,526 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 5598 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 97,581 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
