179 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 74,509 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 10th December 2021: A total of 179 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 227 people were discharged from hospitals. 02 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

Today, A total of 74,509 COVID vaccine doses were administered in the Pune district today taking the total vaccination doses to date to 1,40,43,925. About 84,16,029 people have got the first dose while 56,27,896 people have got two doses.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 1667 active patients in the district and 570 of them are admitted to hospitals while 1097 are in home isolation. Out of 179 new cases, 77 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 58 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 06 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 02 in cantonments, and 36 were in Pune rural area.

Among the 02 deaths, one was in PMC, and one was in rural areas. Out of 227 discharged patients, 78 were in PMC, 66 were in PCMC, 13 were in municipal councils, 01 was in cantonments, and 69 were in rural areas.
