10% Faculty Members of DIAT Pune Listed In Stanford’s Global Top 2% as Influential Scientists
Khadakwasla, 24th September 2024: Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DU), Pune under the aegis of DRDO is committed in creating a centre of Excellence for Education, Training, research in contemporary and futuristic Technologies by way of continual improvement and consistent Innovation in Defence. DIAT(DU), has evolved as Unique Research University to develop indigenous contemporary Defence related technologies through higher education with M.Tech and PhD and secured 63rd rank in the recent NIRF ranking conducted by Ministry of Education.
10% faculty members of DIAT (DU), Pune are listed in Stanford’s Global Top 2% as Influential Scientists.
Dr. B.H.V.S. Narayana Murthy, Vice Chancellor DIAT (DU), congratulated Prof. P.K. Khanna, Prof. Balasubramanian K., Prof. Unnikrishnan, Prof. Bhaskar Mazumdar, Prof. Prashant Kulkarni and Prof. Bazil Raj for their outstanding contribution in defence related futuristic technologies that was highly recognised on standardized citation metrics as influential researchers worldwide. These professors from DIAT, Pune have been recognised in the Standford University Ranking this year which lists the top 2% of scientists globally.
Since last five years, Professors of DIAT are continuously maintaining their rank in the Sandford’s Global Top 2% influential scientists. These faculty are mainly working in the research domains of Free-Space Communication, Quantum Materials, Quantum Optics, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, Explosive Materials, Additive Manufacturing, Hydrogen Storage, Radar Systems, Battery Technologies and Nano Materials, that have direct applications in defence related technologies.
On this achievement, Dr. BHVS Narayana Murthy, Vice Chancellor, DIAT have extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the professors and stated that such achievement of faculty members added one more feather in DIAT’s cap.
