Tata Curvv EV Launching Today: Features Stunning Design And Luxury Interior

Pune, 7th August 2024 – Tata Motors is set to launch its first Curvv EV in India today, 7th August. This electric SUV-coupe boasts several advanced features, including a sleek design with alloy wheels and a sloping roof, highlighting its coupe nature. Equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), the Curvv EV promises enhanced safety and luxury. The vehicle will be available in both electric and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) versions, with the ICE model expected to launch in September.

The Tata Curvv EV features a closed-off grille at the front, connected LED DRLs with welcome and goodbye animations, and vertical slats on the front bumper, similar to the Nexon EV. The flush-type door handles are a first for Tata cars. The exterior design emphasizes its SUV-coupe nature with alloy wheels and a sloping roof. Inside, the Curvv EV sports a dual-tone dashboard, a 4-spoke steering wheel, and a touch-enabled climate control panel. It also includes a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch free-floating infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and front ventilated seats. Similar to the Nexon, it features a drive mode selector and automatic gear shifter.

For passenger safety, the Curvv EV comes with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and forward collision warning. These advanced safety features aim to provide a secure and comfortable driving experience.

Although specific details about the powertrain are yet to be disclosed, the Curvv EV is expected to offer two battery pack options with a range of approximately 500 km. It is based on Tata’s new Acti.ev platform and may include V2L (Vehicle to Load) and V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) functions.

The price of the Tata Curvv EV will be revealed today, with estimates suggesting an ex-showroom price between 18 to 20 lakh rupees. After its launch, it will compete with the MG ZS EV, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, and Maruti EVX in the Indian market.
