Pune RPF Successfully Returns Bag With Goods Over Rs Four Lakhs To Passenger

Pune, 29th November 2022: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) successfully found a lost laptop bag, containing gold and money, and returned it to the rightful owner on Tuesday.

 

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Vilas Darade, on duty in DSCR Pune, received information through a call that a laptop bag of a train passenger was left behind on the Nagpur-Pune Express. The laptop bag had gold ornaments and cash.

 

 

As soon as the said information was received, ASI Vilas Darade saw the train on Platform 01. Constable CR Lokhande, posted at A-06, was immediately informed about attending the coach. Constable CR Lokhande searched the train standing in the yard by going to the concerned berth. He found a black coloured laptop bag on a seat. The Constable brought the bag to RPF, Pune, and immediately informed the passenger.

 

The passenger, Nitin Ganpatrao Murkute (37), a resident of Chandrapur, reached the RPF station soon after. The bag was opened in front of him. One gold necklace, two gold bangles, an HP laptop, cash (Rs 7,000), and a wallet containing a PAN card and driving license were found in the bag. In total, the cash and goods amounted to Rs 4,57,000.

 

The bag was handed over safely to the passenger after completing the paperwork. Murkute showed great appreciation to the RPF.
