Pune: PMPML Breakdown Bus Catches Fire at Nana Peth’s Modern Bakery Chowk
Pune, 31st October 2023: In a concerning incident, a PMPML breakdown bus caught fire at Modern Bakery Chowk in Nana Peth. The quick response from the fire brigade helped bring the fire under control, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
Fire Officer Pankaj Jagtap said, “Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The bus was en route to another location where a PMPML bus had a breakdown when the fire erupted suddenly at around 7:15 p.m.”
The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of vehicle fires. Often, leakage of essential fluids such as coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and more can lead to sudden fires in vehicles. Additionally, something as simple as a loose or missing oil filler cap can result in oil spilling onto the engine, increasing the risk of a fire.
