There is lockdown at present due to the Coronavirus outbreak which has claimed the lives of eight persons. Till yesterday there were 157 Coronavirus patients in Pune district. However, despite lockdown, many people gathered in large numbers at Kirana shops, chicken, mutton and vegetable shops.

“Despite the lockdown, residents are frequently going out on the streets to buy goods like vegetables, groceries, bakery, chicken, mutton etc. People can be seen chatting at chowks and there is crowding everywhere and social distance is not observed. Against this backdrop, all grocery stores, milk dairy, chicken, mutton, vegetable shops etc will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday ie April 8, 9, 10. All citizens and trade unions have come together to make this decision”, they said.

All the shops will remain closed in Dhanori, Bhairavnagar, Munjabavasti, Amba Nagari, Anand Park, Porwal Road, Dhanori Gaothan, Tingre Nagar, Kalwad and surrounding areas. People have been requested to support this complete curfew in the fight against Coronavirus.
